Racine Christian School has adopted the following statement of faith:
The Bible
We believe the Bible is God's written inspired, infallible revelation of His will given to us. As it is written in 2 Timothy 3:16, we believe that: “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness. We interpret this Word in harmony with the standards of the Reformed Churches as represented in the Heidelberg Catechism, Belgic Confession and Canons of Dort.
The Trinity
We believe in one, triune God, the Holy Trinity: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. Father, Son and Holy Spirit relate to one another and to the world as three distinct Persons but are one in essence and will. We believe that God the Father is the Creator of all things, and that He continues to uphold His creation. We believe that God the Son was sent by the Father to die as an atoning sacrifice for the sins of his people, and was raised to free us from condemnation. It is Christ's Lordship that makes all of life, including education, meaningful as a way of glorifying God. We believe that God the Spirit lives within all believers, strengthening and motivating them to serve God.
The Kingdom of God
We believe that God is the sovereign ruler and, that Jesus Christ is Lord and that His Kingdom is eternal without end or beginning. As Christian citizens of His kingdom, our lives are dedicated to His service and we live in the hope of Christ's triumphant return when His Kingdom will be made complete.
The World
We believe (in the beginning) God created a perfect world out of nothing, and declared it to be good. With Adam's sin, death entered the world and, all of creation became tainted. Sin has disrupted the perfection of nature, knowledge and personal relationships. However, because of Christ's redemptive work all of these aspects of creation can be used to glorify God, until Jesus’ return and the restoration of creation in the new heaven and earth.
Humanity
We believe human beings are sinful by nature, and cannot truly glorify God. As it is stated in Romans 3:23 ‘For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God’. Salvation from God, as stated in Romans 3:22, ‘Comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe’. Redeemed Christians are called to dedicate their whole selves to the service of God in gratitude for salvation.
Education
We believe that the purpose of Christian instruction is to teach children to view the whole world as God's Kingdom, and to understand that their calling is to live for God's glory. This includes the development of our children's physical, social, intellectual and spiritual life so that they may better equip themselves to serve the Lord.
The Parent
We believe that Christian parents are called by God to give their children Biblical instruction and education. As paraphrased from Proverbs 22:6 Train a child in the way they should go, even when they are old they will not depart from it.
The School
We believe the school, provided by God, is an extension of the home providing Biblical instruction and quality education. Students are taught a Christian world and life view according to their age and ability to understand.
The Teacher
We believe the teacher is called by God to instill in our children a Christian perspective of learning. This is accomplished by pairing high academic standards with a Christian world and life view. While nurturing each child’s unique gifts and talents the teacher guides them in their relationship with Christ.
The Child
We believe that each child is created by God, with individual abilities, learning styles, needs, and a unique personality. We also believe that every child, having been born with a sinful nature, must be led to a realization of their total dependence upon God for life and for salvation.
