Academic Philosophy

Spiritually

Spiritually Christian schools are set apart from public schools by their inclusion of values established by Our Lord, Jesus Christ. "All scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work" (2 Timothy 3:16-17). Thus, knowledge of scripture must be part of our curriculum for our instruction to be complete.

Academically

Academically it is our responsibility to teach in a way that is appropriate for each student's learning ability and style. We must insure that the resources we chose are reliable, just, and in harmony with the Word of God. It is our goal to strive for and encourage the academic growth of our students.

Emotionally

Emotionally we must strive to provide an environment that is sensitive to each child's needs, with the clear understanding that we are only one factor in the many influences on a child's emotional health. All people need love and acceptance to grow. Our environment must be one that is nurturing; a place where each individual can mature without fear of ridicule or undue judgment.

Socially

Socially our school strives to provide an atmosphere where each child's uniqueness is not only accepted, but also appreciated. It is our goal to enhance each individual's self-esteem while respecting the rights of others.

Physically

Physically we are responsible for maintaining an environment that is safe and stimulating for our students. We provide opportunities for physical exercise in order to develop healthy bodies.
