Clarence DeYong -

Board Secretary / Personnel Director

Clarence D

Where are you originally from?
I was born in Racine and grew up on a farm here. We have since lived in Atlanta, Fort Collins ,CO. and Geneva, IL until moving back "home" after retirement.

Tell us a little bit about your family.

We just celebrated our 54th wedding anniversary and have three sons, a daughter and three granddaughters.

What are your hobbies/interests?

I have been making knives since 1981 and I also love to bowhunt, fish, read, golf, pickleball, etc. etc.

What is your relationship with RCS?

My grandfather was one of the leaders who helped start RCS. I attended school here and it shaped my life and faith. All of my kids also attended RCS and often talk about teachers they had and their impact. I have served on the board for three terms in the past.

What excites you about RCS and your role here.

It has been a blessing to see God's hand in the many changes that have taken place at RCS. We had 4 classrooms and my graduating class was three students. There has been a transformation to not only train covenant kids in God's Word but to also provide an outreach to those who may not know the Lord. The possibility of expanding is thrilling. The commitment that I see from the staff and Board has impressed me. I am humbled by God's blessings on our Racine Christian School and ask for prayers that I might serve the Lord well during my time on the school board.
