Teacher Appreciation week is the first week in May 3rd-7th. We are looking for a little bit of help from all of our amazing families with a couple of items.

  1. We are sending home an envelope with the children that has two teacher questionnaires found inside. One should be filled out for your child’s teacher and the other has the name on the top for one of our adjunct faculty. These will be handed out to the students, Monday, April 26 and we are looking to have them returned to school in the provided envelope to the office on Wednesday, April 28. Once these are all collected we will be making a book for each of our wonderful teachers.
  2. The next item we were asking each family to bring in one flower of your choosing for your teacher which we will turn into a beautiful bouquet from each class. These will be turned in on Tuesday, May 4 in the morning to each classroom. We will have a vase waiting for the students to put their beautiful flowers into. As a special touch if you would like to attach a special memory verse, favorite memory of the year, or any other special note would be greatly appreciated.
  3. Please let us know (via email with addresses below) if you would be able to help during the lunch period On Friday, May 7 from 11 until 1pm, so that all of our amazing teachers would be able to sit down and have a wonderful luncheon together and to be relieved other duties for that time period. Please Let us know if you are able to help by Thursday, April 29
FUN WALK - WE NEED YOUR HELP! As we prepare for the Fun Walk on Friday, May 28, we need some parents who are willing to help out with manning our stations in order for the teachers to take their classes around. We also need someone to set up and man the snack station. If you are willing and able to help out with a station or another task, please contact the school office so that we can plug you into the schedule.
Calendar update - Please note that Friday, May 28 is a HALF DAY with 12:15pm dismissal.

May 4th is the Big Day! Please be in prayer for the Board, staff, and administration as we host our accreditation site visit on May 4th. We look forward to getting valuable feedback about the school as our guests give us a snapshot of their impressions of the school and of our strategic plan for the future. We value our partnership with you as parents and guardians, and we appreciate your support and feedback as well. Blessings on your week!
We will have a Scholastic Book Fair Tues. May 11 - May 14. Students can shop the Book Fair during their library time that week and the Book Fair will also stay open from 4-5pm for parents to shop.
As a reminder, 4 tardies to school or class will result in a 1 hour detention after school.
Students must be in their morning class by 9:05 to not be marked tardy.
Homework Club
For the remaining of the school year (starting on Wednesday, April 28), after school homework help is available for students in grades 5-8. Mrs. Van Ee will be staying after school for “Homework Club” on Wednesdays and Fridays from 4-5pm. The capacity limit is 6 students. If you would like your child to attend, contact the school or Mrs. Van Ee by the day before (ex: by Tuesday to attend Wednesday and Thursday to attend Friday) to reserve a spot for your child. Priority will be given to students in the order families respond. Students need to be picked up by 5pm. If students are picked up late multiple times in a row, preference will be given to other students.
